THEOSOPHICAL SECTION
“Even while they teach, men learn” – Seneca the Younger
“Even while they teach, men learn” – Seneca the Younger
The following sub-sections all contain Theosophical material intended as Study Guides for the New Orleans Theosophical Society, other Theosophical Groups and persons with curious minds.
When studying Theosophy one must keep in mind the following four basic truths:
1. The fundamental unity of all existence is that all existence is ONE THING, not any collection of things linked together. All existence is therefore ONE BEING.
2. THERE IS NO DEAD MATTER. Every last atom is conscious (alive). It cannot be otherwise since every atom is itself fundamentally part of the Absolute Being.
3. Man is the MICROCOSM. As he is so, then all the Hierarchies of the Heavens (Macrocosm) exist within him. But in truth there is neither Macrocosm nor Microcosm but ONE EXISTENCE.
4. As is the Inner, so is the Outer; as is the Great so, is the Small; as it is above, so it is below: there is but ONE LIFE AND LAW; and he that worketh it is ONE. Nothing is Inner, nothing is Outer; nothing is GREAT, nothing is Small; nothing is High, nothing is Low, in the Divine Economy. (this "Great Hermetic Axiom" which sums up into a single phrase all of the other truths into a single phrase).
There is not much in the way of my original work in this section. I have mostly copied , pasted , re-written and re-organized existing work into something more condensed, comprehensible and understandable for use as Study Guides at our Theosophical Society meetings , pretty much the same as was done in the section of this website on "Comparative Religion".
Nothing on this website is ever intended to be sold for any purpose. Everything here is posted solely for educational purposes only.
Thanks.
